The Society for the Promotion of Byzantine Studies is delighted to announce the results of our recent Executive Committee elections. Please join us in welcoming and congratulating our newly elected and re-elected members as they take on their roles steering our sub-committees.
We are pleased to share that Dr Flavia Vanni is taking on the role of Secretary. Dr Max Lau has been re-elected as Chair of the Fundraising Committee, while Dr Vicky Manolopoulou has been officially confirmed as Chair of the Development Committee.
Joining the Development Committee this term is Dr Alessandro Carabia, who will be working alongside Vicky to advance the committee’s social media and online outreach. Additionally, Jonathan Wild will be stepping in to fill the vacancy on the Publications Committee, where he will work closely with Committee Chair Professor Shaun Tougher.
We are immensely grateful to Alessandro, Flavia, Jonathan, Max, and Vicky for standing for election and for their continued dedication to the Society.
Looking ahead, the Executive Committee, led by Chair Professor Liz James, will next convene in September.
